HOW DOES IT WORK?
Here is an overview of how smoking cessation works with Donna French.

-
Assessment and Preparation (First 30 minute consultation): The process begins with an initial 30-minute assessment. During this session, we’ll gather information about your smoking history, habits, triggers, and reasons for wanting to quit. Based on this, I will assign tasks for you to complete over the next 10 days to help prepare for the upcoming session.
-
Our next meeting: Our second meeting will be scheduled 11 days after your initial consultation. During this session, I’ll review your task completion and gain a deeper understanding of your personal triggers. This will allow me to tailor the hypnotherapy session specifically to your unique situation.
-
Creating a Positive Mindset: In this session, the focus is on cultivating a positive and receptive mindset. I will guide you into a state of deep relaxation, known as hypnosis or trance. In this relaxed state, your conscious mind becomes less active, allowing me to communicate directly with your unconscious mind.
-
Addressing Subconscious Patterns: While you’re in the hypnotic state, I’ll introduce positive suggestions and affirmations to your subconscious. These suggestions are designed to challenge and reframe the thoughts and behaviors associated with smoking (or vaping), helping to reshape your mindset.
-
Replacing Negative Associations: Hypnotherapy will help shift the way you perceive smoking, making it less appealing. Through visualization, you’ll experience the negative consequences of continuing to smoke and form new, healthier associations in their place.
-
Dealing with Triggers: Before the hypnotherapy session, you will complete tasks designed to help you identify your individual triggers—those moments that make you reach for a cigarette. By gaining personal insight into your smoking habits, you’ll learn how to respond differently to situations that would typically prompt you to smoke.
-
Reinforcement and Follow-Up: While 99% of my clients achieve success with just one hypnotherapy session, if necessary, follow-up sessions can be arranged for reinforcement and additional support.
